I have been an auto driver for the past 10 years....I got my licence the day I turned 17,
as I could not wait to have the independence of driving my own car. I joined The Australian
Army when I turned 25, as I wanted a new challenge. Part of this challenge included learning
to drive a variety of Army vehicles. To reach my goal of being an Army driver I needed to get my
manual licence. This is how I came to meet Al, my driving instructor. It took less lessons than I thought
to become competent and confident behind the wheel of a manual car. I just recently passed my
